The Crapshoot will feature two perspectives on online dating, the Dudette's and the Dude's.
They will share stories, thoughts and tips -- everything from awkward dates, setting up online dating profiles, sifting through other people's profiles, sending and responding to online messages in order to get a date, lasting impressions from a date (good and bad) all from 2 current online daters.
The authors are just as their names imply - one Midwest Dudette and one East Coast Dude. You'll here from me, The Editor, every once in awhile as well. You'll learn more about them as they post their stories and thoughts.
Now for some very basic ground rules and expectations.
- We will never, ever use real names of people that they are/have gone/will be going out on dates with. We expect that if you share your stories, that you also try to use different names for your dates.
- Our stories will be fairly clean, but we'll warn you if they are not. Mostly, they'll be funny and honest.
- We'll shoot to post once a week, or whenever the mood strikes. Every once in awhile, we'll post a question/topic for everyone to respond to. We'd love it if you shared the blog -- stories are best when shared!
And of course,
- Please comment if the mood strikes you! If you have any questions or comments you'd like to make in private, please feel to reach out to me and I will do my best to respond to you. Midwest Dudette and East Coast Dude will also respond to comments that you post online.
